Do we really need an election?

We are wasting tons of money on an election that will likely not make much of a difference to the overall political landscape of this country. Jack Layton and Stephen Harper are idiots if they think any good can come about from another election right on the coattails of the last one.

The thought of either of these two running this country frightens me to death. I have never campaigned before but I definitely will this time around.

I encourage everyone to do something proactive this time. Join a campaign office, debate, protest, get involved. This country cannot revert back to what it was 20 years ago. Conservatives ran this country into the ground and it took 12 years to fix it. Things are rosy now… there’s no need to change for change sake.

Congratulations Germany!

I could not be happier to see a democratically elected female Chancellor. You embody democracy and freedom. You have given me one more reason why you are among my favourite countries in the world. Stand strong Germany. Continue to oppose those who would oppress, whether or not they hide under a veil of democracy.
