Canadians’ self punishment

Canadians punished themselves at the polls today. The Liberals allowed this campaign to focus on the past and not the future. We wanted to punish the Liberals for their indiscretions and instead have punished ourselves by putting in someone who is about to show his true colours. Stephen Harper has been a chameleon cleverly disguising himself as a moderate.
Canadians have shown no indication of a shift to the right but out of spite we have put into office a man we know so little of we cannot even fear him. Our children will question our wisdom; we should question our own sanity.
